Project case study
King’s College Hospital: Dubai and Chandigarh
We are leading on the establishment of the $200m King’s College Hospital Dubai (pictured top of page). Set to open in 2018, the 100-bed, state-of-the-art facility will focus on four main treatment areas – paediatrics, endocrinology, orthopaedics, and obstetrics and gynaecology – as well as providing other acute and general medical services.
It will be supported by three further King’s College Hospital outpatient clinics in Dubai, the first of which will open in 2017. King’s project partners are Ashmore Group plc in the UK and Al Tayer Group and Dubai Investments PJSC in the UAE.
We are advising on the design and creation of the first of a planned 11 UK-Indo Institutes for Health across India. King’s College Hospital Chandigarh (pictured above) will be part of King’s extended family and focus on providing the people of Andhra Pradesh with healthcare which reflects the best of British in terms of quality, efficiency and ethical standards.
We are advising on the clinical and governance infrastructure along with the quality assurance framework to ensure that the service quality reflects our standards. The new 1,000-bed hospital will also provide the opportunity for patients with complex conditions to be referred to King’s Private in London for treatment. King’s project partner is Indo UK Healthcare Pvt Ltd.
