About us

King’s Commercial is a wholly owned subsidiary of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

We explore commercial ventures on behalf of the Trust, both locally and internationally, enabling public and private sector bodies to benefit from our expertise. All income that we generate is reinvested in the Trust’s NHS activity.

We have strong links with the healthcare ecosystems in the UK and internationally, and focus on opportunities in the following areas:

  • Healthcare management and consultancy
  • Healthcare recruitment
  • Training and education
  • Joint ventures
  • Outsourced services in partnership with the private sector
  • Private patient services
  • Information services
  • Business development

Why King’s Commercial?

King’s set up its commercial arm when it became a Foundation Trust. The initial focus was on marketing the Trust as a market-leader in IT systems – such as patient costing software – and related consultancy work.

Since then, King’s Commercial  has expanded its activities to explore local and international opportunities and to provide expertise in consulting, healthcare management, education and training, recruitment and clinical unit commissioning.

We now have a major involvement in a number of leading outsourced services and joint ventures worldwide, including Viapath and King’s College Hospital Clinics Abu Dhabi, and have a raft of projects in the pipeline.
